Stephanie M. Bader

Stephanie Bader died in her mother’s arms surrounded by family on May 1, 2015, following a 20-month battle with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. Stephanie may have only lived 13 years but she touched and inspired so many people’s lives along the way. The quality of her life far outweighed the quantity of time in which she lived. Her beautiful smile was contagious and captured the hearts of thousands of people. Even though her disease presented her with so many physical challenges, she had more strength and courage than any of us ever realized. She taught us that every day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Stephanie was very creative and enjoyed dancing, singing, listening to music, cheerleading, reading and trips to Disney. She loved spending time at the beach and watching the beautiful sunsets. She loved dolphins and dreamed of becoming a marine biologist some day. With Stephanie’s passing it has reminded us that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will think about her and miss her every day, she will be with us forever in our hearts. It has been a privilege to be her parents. Stephanie is survived by her loving parents, Edward and Mary Beth Bader, sister Kaitlyn; her maternal grandmother, Carol Stillwell, and her paternal grandmother, Hildegarda Bader. Stephanie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Arthur Stillwell, and her paternal grandfather George Bader. She will be missed terribly by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. We kindly request that everyone wear something purple in memory of our precious girl. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, from 5-9 pm at St. Paul RC Church, 223 East Union St., Burlington City, NJ 08016. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am, Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, we would be honored to have you support the “Defeat GBM Research Collaborative” through the National Brain Tumor Society.
