Christian • Husband • Father • Grandfather • Veteran William “Bill” High entered eternal rest on January 31, 2025, at the age of 91. A man of strong faith, quiet strength, and unwavering integrity, Bill lived a life rich in love, service, and devotion. A devoted family man, Bill shared 73 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Leonora High of Mayfair, Philadelphia. He was a loving father, a cherished grandfather, and a proud great-grandfather. Born and raised in Wissinoming, Philadelphia, he later made a home and a lifetime of memories in Willingboro, NJ, where he remained a lifelong resident. A gifted electrical engineer, Bill was known for his sharp mind and problem-solving skills. He approached every challenge with determination and ingenuity, earning a reputation as one of the most talented in his field. Though a man of few words, the words he spoke carried wisdom and weight, reflecting his deep values and love for his family. Bill took great pride in his faith, his marriage, and his military service. As a teenager he loved playing sports, was an enthusiastic fan of the Phillies and Eagles sports clubs his whole life, enjoyed playing the trumpet, and trained as an aviation cadet before serving as a Military Police officer in the U.S. Army. A selfless leader, he was always the first to lend a hand, offering quiet but steadfast support to those around him. He found joy in family gatherings, traveling, caring for animals, and standing by his wife in her pursuits as an artist and cook. A dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Bill’s faith was a guiding light throughout his life. “A gentle man, so strong and wise, with a loving heart and tender eyes. He shared his stories, rich and grand, and he guided us with a steady hand.” — Unknown Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel High (nee McCracken); his brothers, Donald and Bobby; and his daughter, Sherri Perrotta. He is survived by his devoted wife, Leonora; his daughter, Karen Reilley; his sister, Bonnie Mederios; his son-in-law, Rich Perrotta; his grandchildren, Sayke Reilley, Erin Tondini (Reilley), Daniel Perrotta, Michael Perrotta, Jenny Perrotta, and Ryan Wilson; and his great-grandchildren, Matthew Solomon Reilley, Madison Tondini, Reilley Tondini, Matthew Tondini, Marisa Perrotta, Danny Perrotta, Jada Perrotta, and Maggie Hadjakis. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter or a veteran’s charity in Bill’s honor. A memorial service will be held at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ, on Sunday, February 16, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the home of his grandson, Sayke Reilley, at 25 Broad St., Mt. Holly.
